About The Grand Canyon German Shepherd Dog Club

The club was founded in 1954. 

Our objectives are to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred German Shepherd Dogs and to do all possible to bring their natural abilities to perfection.  We urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which the German Shepherd Dog shall be judged.

We will do all in our power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at events such as dog shows, obedience trials, rally trials, tracking tests, agility trials, field trails, hunting tests, and any other events for which the breed is eligible to compete. 

We want to promote the training of the German Shepherd Dog for obedience and conformation and to disseminate knowledge regarding obedience training and conformation. We want to encourage the training of obedience and conformation for dogs, their handlers and judges.
